Black Gram (Vigna Mungo)
Also known as an ‘uber nourisher’ in ancient Ayurvedic texts, Black Gram is an extremely potent moisturizing and unctuous ingredient that not only moisturizes but also nourishes all 7 tissues of the body.
Although Black Gram found its fame as a staple food in South-East Asia and the Middle East, Ayurveda has known its powers to deeply nourish and support the skin for centuries.
Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis Root Extract)
Castor oil is rich in fatty acids, particularly ricinoleic acid, which provides deep moisture to the skin. When used alone, Castor oil can be too thick to spread. However, in Balaayah, it is blended with Sesame oil and other potent Ayurvedic herbs, bringing you just the right softness and richness without the heaviness!
Velvet Bean (Mucuna Pruriens)
With an exterior like that of Black Gram, slightly bigger however, Velvet Bean, as its name suggests, is known for endowing skin with a soft, velvety texture.
